stage one: script

Excuse- me did you forget something? Would you like me to do it in your house?
Do you feel comfortable living like this?
It surrounds us in the mailbox, on the road, on the beach, in the water, on walk sides and at home.
Wake up Call!!!!
Have you looked lately around you? Have you noticed the garbage on the street and in the parks!
Today in Israel a person produces 1.6 kg garbage a day. Can you imagine that this is more than a half a tone per year and this quantity grows every year!
We have to be aware, if we don’t care about our environment so nobody will clean after us. The task is very easy and everyone can do it.
Take your bottles to the recycling container; bring your glass bottles back to the shop, throw your newspaper in the paper containers and the rest goes to the garbage.
Lets make a better place for our children and us. So we can have a pleasant environment where we can have a pleasant walk on the beach and down the street.

third blog entry

Blog entry for the third lesson:
I was recording the pupil. I had to record the pupil several times. I saw that as the pupil could hear what she was saying she saw often where she had problems. Many times she was adding an s or she forgot to pronounce the s. We had to learn the difficult words such as special, biblical, prepare and already. We were dividing the words into syllables. After we finished to record her we fixed the photo story a little bit. The pupil was very happy and glad that she could do this advertisement and she showed it her parents

second blog entry

Blog entry for the second lesson:
We went over the text again in order to practice the text with more self confidence. I saw that the pupil made huge improvement. I saw that the pupil is not really reading the words and letters she was reading from the context. If she took her finger and followed the words it was much easier for her to souns out the letters. Then we were choosing pictures that could suit the text.

Blog entry for the first lesson:
The pupil was really motivated to read the text even though it was hard for her to read it. The pupil knows a lot of words and understands English very well, but she has difficulties with the name and the sounds of the letters. She couldn't believe that she is going to make a little movie advertisement. We were going over the text and she told me what she understood. She had several difficulties with the endings and th.

I chose a pupil in an 8th grade who has difficulties in reading. I prepared for the pupil an authentic text about her youth movement. The pupil is very active in the youth movement so I thought that a text about her youth movement would motivate her to read. I want to make with the pupil a little ad movie which presents the youth movement Ezra. The movie should serve children in other cities and countries to join the youth movement Ezra. As the pupil reads the text I record her and afterwards she can hear herself. She can like this listen where she makes mistakes and improve herself.

First lesson:
I will present the pupil the text and we will read it together. I want the pupil to understand the meaning of the text. I want to see where the pupil has specific problems.

Second lesson:
I want the pupil to choose pictures in order to make the little ad. Again reread the text and exercise mistakes.

Third lesson:
I want to record the pupil and match her voice to the pictures.

clean sourrounding

Hi everyone
I actually don't know how to start but I have an idea and I just try to flow…………J
I want to make my digital story with a 6th grade on the theme: "clean surrounding".
In order to introduce the theme I take the children into different rooms in the school and around the school. I ask them what they can see. I want the pupils to come alone to the conclusion that we live in a dirty surrounding and I want the children to come to the awareness of recycling. In order the children to come to the topic I will ask them questions such as what feelings do they have?
What makes this feeling?
What are the differences between the different places? (For example classroom and their own room at home.)
I want the children to collect as many rubbish as the can during a week and they have to sort the different products. While they are doing that, we are learning about the different raw materials and what we can do with them. I want the children to figure out what they can recycle and what we can do in order to live in a cleaner surrounding. I would like the children to join the municipal cleaning group for one day. Then the children have to write down what their impressions and experiences were and how they felt. In groups of two I want the children either to make a short movie or to write a book for children how they can preserve a clean surrounding.

What do I think about Photostory

I think Photostory is great technique to present other people pictures in a very interesting and amusing way. People don't have to watch the pictures in a "dry" way, they can see the pictures in form of a film. The background sound, music and movements make it much more interesting. It is less boring to watch the pictures in a photostory. The photostory can be made on a specific issue like we did, presenting a city but we can also make a summary of an event in our life or a journey. Everyone can see the film in little time, and the people get a little impression of what people did.
I liked Dafna's photostory because she presented also some family pictures, which makes it, more personal. Yael's Photostory was also interesting because she really had a clear composition. The Photostory of Esthi presented me a new area I hardly knew.
Nadja choose very nice pictures to show us Jaffa.

I combined some pictures I took from Zefat. Two weeks ago my brother and I went to Zefat and we spent a great time. I thought that I want to show you for me the most important aspects I saw during my visit in Zefat. The houses and the view, the peoples and the art are three very central points in Zefat I recognized and I wanted to show it to you.

another podcasts

Another podcasts I listened to is Esthi's Podcast. Esthi has a very calm voice which suits very well to her advertisement. She presents a vacation, of which most of us dream of. Esthi describes a vacation on a cruise where we would leave all the trouble behind us, see nice landscape etc. it sounds very attractive!

podcast about happiness

I heard a podcast of Yael and it talks about happiness.
The podcast starts pessimistic and she says how people might feel, lonely, without friends, sad etc.
But then Yael changes the music and says what we can do. Start smiling. In addition Yael explains who one can achieve it, by going to a good film, listening to the music, etc.
For me the main sentence is: Smile and the world will smile back to you!
I liked because this podcast is really true. Many times I feel that if I smile people smile back, but not always it is easy to smile, especially in those days but probably even though we should try to smile.:)

Experience of my podcast

Now, as I have done my podcast it is cool to have the end product. Truly it wasn't so easy for me to make it because in the beginning I didn't know how to do it, then I had to record myself several times and it took me time to choose the right music. But I think I learnt a lot, I think now I am able to do other podcasts which take me less time. Probably someone can answer me? Where can I listen to the other podcasts? Do I have to write 5 comments on any podcasts or do they have to be from course members.
